You can’t use regular screen capture tools to capture pictures or movies of computer games that use DirectX 3D or OpenGL. For this, you’ll need an advanced screen capture. There are several screen capture programs for games that you can use. One of them is Taksi.
Taksi is a freeware that has the ability to capture nearly any windows application that makes use of OpenGL, DirectX or GDI. The captured objects can be saved as videos (compressed or uncompressed AVI) or pictures (PNG or 24-bit BMP). Additionally, live video compression with any VFW video codec is supported and users can also create a custom video setting to produce a better video capture output.
