Close All Running Applications Simultaneously with Close All Windows
Working with multiple applications can make our work to get done faster. We can work with an application while leaving another application processing its task in the background. For example, you can work with your word processor while leaving Windows explorer copying a number of files. Or, cleaning up system from junk files with CCleaner while listening to music or watching a movie with your Windows Media Player.
Still, running many applications or opening many windows at once can make it less efficient if we have to close the applications one by one. There are two free solutions for this. The first is to use SmartClose, which I have posted a while back ago, and the another way is to use Close All Windows.
Close All Windows lets you close all running applications at once in one click. Place this program on the quick launch area of the taskbar and click the icon once whenever you want to close all running applications at once. You can also put it on your desktop and assign a shortcut key so that you can close all opened windows at a time simply with a single click of a shortcut key.
Close all running applications

Note that this application can only close the applications that appear in your taskbar. It cannot close the applications that are minimized to tray like Winamp.
I have no idea if Close All Windows works in Windows Vista or not, but it definitely works on Windows XP. By the way, I use the portable version.
