The file is in use by another program or user. INSTANT DELETE REMEDY AND SATISFACTION AND EASE: To be sure I downloaded a wonderful program called GiPo@FileUtilities and found that this simple program cured all my pesky or downloaded files and programs that would not disappear from my desktop. My specific problem was that I downloaded a RICOH driver from a vendor source that really wanted to sell their software removal program and thus editing the ‘download-driver’ so that I could not easily remove it. Only after checking many Internet sources, and spending some serious research time, did I came across the GiPo@FileUtilities site. The program once installed simply allows entering the pesty or poisoned file to be typed into a box and then after rebooting the PC the GiPo@FileUtilities will delete the file before the PC is fully booted and before file is not held prisoner by another running program. I also learned a lesson to not allow downloading a program from a questionable site and or free driver offerings that are hoping to snare your business by essentially invading and or corrupting your computer. The old story prevails many only want your money. Incidentally the UNLOCKER program as well proffered on the Internet to assist in matters like these did not perform for me. Good luck in your endeavors.

Jack,

Could you tell us in what way it doesn't work? For an alternative, you can use Unlocker that I've covered right here:
