Folder Size Freeware for Windows
If you rely on what Windows originally provides, you can only view the size of one folder at a time through its properties. You can view the total size of multiple folders as well, but you cannot view how much the size of each folder at once. It is impossible to display folder size in Windows explorer as a column unless you use third-party application like Folder Size freeware.
Folder Size is a freeware that, as you’ve expected, enables you to show the size of folders directly in Windows explorer. Hence, you can view the size of each folder without going through any properties window. This free program adds “folder size” as a new column in Windows explorer.

In other words, to view folder size, you just have to right-click the column bar in Windows explorer and select “Folder Size” to be displayed. You’ll have “file size” and “folder size” side by side, then. Don’t forget to restart only Windows explorer after installing Folder Size.
Folder Size freeware supports Windows XP and Windows 2000.
