Free Microsoft Download Manager
Download manager program can be found anywhere. The web provides a massive number of download manager applications from the paid to the free ones. Now Microsoft has made their own download manager tool, called as Microsoft Download Manager. It is designed to specifically download files from Microsoft site but it can also be used to download from other sites as well.
Microsoft Download Manager enables users to pause and resume download, specify the number of simulatenous connection, automatically retry when a download is failed, set the maximum number of retries, add proxy support and specify where the downloaded files should be saved to.
Users need to click the new download icon at the top right of the program to perform a new download, then copy and paste the URL of the file into the provided field.
Microsoft Download Manager is free and designed to work with Windows 7, Vista, XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions are supported.
