Hide Active Window Quickly with A Hotkey

Sometimes we open up something on our computer that we don’t want anyone to see what is displayed on the screen. Windows doesn’t provide a way to hide active window, so you have no choice other than closing it. Quick Window Hide Tool is a free utility that lets you hide active window quickly in one click.

Quick Window Hide Tool is a portable application. Once you launch it, you can hide any specific window or program. The program offers two ways of hiding your running program. You can hide any window by right-clicking the program’s icon on the tray, select “hide a window” and then click any of the programs displayed in the list. But since we want to hide active window as fast as we can, hiding an active window with a hotkey is the best option.

To hide window with a hotkey, you need to define the hotkey first. To do this, right-click the program’s icon again, but this time select “utilities” and then “one press window hiding”. You will see a mini window displaying a list of all the running programs afterwards. Check the box of the program that you want to hide, select one of the available hotkeys, and click “save” button. You can define different hotkey for each program displayed in the list. To display the hidden window, press the same hotkey again.
