Every program that you install will be listed in the Add or Remove Programs. Some applications may even not offer the option to not list the program’s name on Start menu. Hence, other users knows what programs you have installed and can uninstall programs without permission. Hide Programs is a free software that enables you to hide installed programs so other users won’t be able to find the name of the programs within Add/Remove Programs nor see the program groups in Start menu. There is no information about the Windows version this program was designed for, but according to Softpedia it works under Windows NT / 2K / XP / 2003 / Vista.
How to hide installed programs:
- Download, install and launch Hide Programs.
- Select one from the three tabs.
- Select the programs you want to hide.
- Click “Hide checked” button to hide the checked programs.
The programs you set to hide will be hidden once you click the “Hide checked” button.


If you want to show the hidden programs, just launch the application again and click “Show checked” button.
Beside hiding installed programs, Hide Programs also remove the programs which cannot be uninstalled correctly to speedup loading Add\Remove programs list in Control Panel.
