Move Taskbar Button Position in Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003

Windows has its own rule in managing the taskbar buttons position and, unfortunately, the position cannot be changed unless you use an additional tool like Taskix. Taskix itself is a freeware that enables you to move taskbar position into any order you want easily.

After you activate the program, you can simply drag and drop any taskbar button you want to move. You will still be able to reorder the position of each button within a group as well if the “group similar taskbar buttons” option is set.

If you often need to move taskbar button position, you might want to consider to start it automatically at Windows start-up. This way you won’t have to start it manually each time you need it.

Taskix doesn’t need to be installed.
