Reduce PNG & JPEG Images Size with JPEG & PNG Stripper – No Quality Loss

Photofiltre and Riot has been my favorite free image optimizers all this time. While Photofiltre is equipped with lots of features that makes it a perfect tool for quick image editing, Riot’s features are designed specifically to reduce image size in the shortest time possible without losing too much photo details or photo quality. Now, I found another free image tool that lets you to reduce JPG/JPEG/JFIF & PNG size quickly without quality loss: JPEG & PNG Stripper.

JPEG & PNG Stripper is a portable freeware that reduce JPG/JPEG/JFIF & PNG size quickly without quality loss by removing unnecessary metadata information from an image. Simply drag and drop the images to the main window of the program and the size of each will be reduced instantly.

JPEG & PNG Stripper can reduce a single JPEG or PNG image or multiple JPEG and PNG images size at once. Beside reducing image size, it can also let you to find out first how much the image size reduction you’ll get and the errors and warnings from the images before you start the actual image reduction process. The option “Ignore ReadOnly attributes” enables you to reduce size of the images that are read-only attributed. Unchecking the option “Preserve file date and times” produces smaller image size.

By checking the option “Add to explorer” you’ll be able to reduce JPEG and PNG size directly from within Windows explorer. However, this is only perfect if you only need to reduce the size of a single image or several images at once. It is simply because the program will open its main window for every image scanned. For example, if you reduce the size of 10 images from Windows explorer using the program’s command integrated within the right-click menu, the program will open 10 of its main window. The best way to reduce the size of a large number of images is through its main window and using the drag-drop operation.
