By taking advantage of Aero Peek capability, Firefox 4 adds a feature to display tab previews in Windows 7 taskbar. The close button is indeed available for each Firefox tab that you only need to click it once to close the tab. If you think it isn’t fast enough, then the combination of Ctrl + W as the keyboard shortcut to close tab can be used instead.
