Display Calendar On Tray by Shortcut Key or at Mouse Hover Over the Clock

The standard way to display calendar on Windows is double-clicking the clock at the tray. If this isn’t enough, there are two options you can choose. First is to use the excellent calendar freeware Rainlendar that provides many customization features and many free calendar themes, and the second option is to use QuickMonth Calendar freeware.

QuickMonth Calendar enables you to display a small calendar whenever you hover mouse over the clock tray. Optionally, you can display tray calendar using your own shortcut key. How long the delay should be before the calendar is displayed can be adjusted as well as the position of the calendar.

There is no theme customization ability provided like what you can get from Rainlendar, but the calendar theme changes everytime you change Windows theme. Moreover, if you change the taskbar location from bottom to top, left or other sides of the desktop, the calendar will still be displayed over the tray whenever you hover mouse over the clock tray or pressing the shortcut key. However, you may need to restart Windows after you change the taskbar location.

Hide Installed Program from Add/Remove Programs & Start Menu with Hide Programs Freeware

Every program that you install will be listed in the Add or Remove Programs. Some applications may even not offer the option to not list the program’s name on Start menu. Hence, other users knows what programs you have installed and can uninstall programs without permission. If you want to prevent unauthorized uninstallation, the easy way is by hiding installed programs from Add/Remove Programs and Start menu.

Hide Programs is a free software that enables you to hide installed programs so other users won’t be able to find the name of the programs within Add/Remove Programs nor see the program groups in Start menu. There is no information about the Windows version this program was designed for, but according to Softpedia it works under Windows NT / 2K / XP / 2003 / Vista.

How to hide installed programs:

• Download, install and launch Hide Programs.
• Select one from the three tabs.
• Select the programs you want to hide.
• Click “Hide checked” button to hide the checked programs.

The programs you set to hide will be hidden once you click the “Hide checked” button.

If you want to show the hidden programs, just launch the application again and click “Show checked” button.

Beside hiding installed programs, Hide Programs also remove the programs which cannot be uninstalled correctly to speedup loading Add\Remove programs list in Control Panel.

Instantly Switch Between Two Different Mouse Speed Settings On Laptop with Shortcut Key

Having an external USB mouse as an alternative to replace the touchpad mouse on laptop is a solution for you who find that using the touchpad is somewhat difficult or not comfortable. Still, switching between these two mouses with different settings all the time isn’t something you can do instantly. Imagine that you have to configure the different speed and sensitivity for each mouse every time you switch the mouse.

Mouse Speed Switcher is the free utility that lets you instantly switch different mouse settings with a shortcut key. Download Free WinRaR iMode Skin to Change the Default Look

Winrar has long been popular as a rar opener software accompanied with many features. One of the features is the ability to change the skin or theme of the program. Some might not even care about the skin and thus keep using the default Winrar skin, but others like to see a completely different skin and even change the look of the Winrar quite often.

Winrar itself has already had many skins that can be downloaded from the homepage, but perhaps you will also get interested with this one. It is iMode Winrar skin that is developed by a deviantart user.

To change the default look of Winrar, for Windows XP user, simply extract iMode Theme in “C:\Program Files\WinRAR\Themes”. Run Winrar and select “Options” from the menu bar. Then choose Themes.

For Windows Vista user, extract iMode theme in C:\Users\NAMEofUSER\AppData\Roaming\WinRAR\Themes and then click the “Options” in the menu bar and choose Themes.

Note that the location to extract the theme depends on where you installed Winrar, but most people usually use the location above.
