Clean Temp Files Automatically or Manually With Empty Temp Folder
The more often you run your computer, the more temp files you get. If you don’t clean temp files periodically, the size of temp files could affect the performance of the computer. It gets slower and slower over time. Thus, temp files need to be cleaned regularly and this can be done by using Empty Temp Folders, a freeware designed to do more than simply cleaning up temp files.
You can clean temp files manually with Empty Temp Folders, or automatically at scheduled time by using the additional tool called EmpRunner. With EmpRunner, the Empty Temp Folders can be scheduled to clean temp files every 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 minutes or every 1, 2, 3, 4 hours.
However, you need to specify which temp folders you want to clean before. This can be easily done by selecting all the folders in the list of the temp folders that has been provided within the program. Of course you can add more, but make sure you know what you are going to clean before adding your own folders.
Clean temp files with Empty Temp Folders
If you want to clean cookies, history files, URLs and the contents of the Recycle Bin as well, you can do it by configuring the program to do so from the its “Options” window. Still in the same window, you can specify that the temp files to be cleaned must be older than certain days as well as to start the program when Windows starts. The program can be set to instantly clean temp files when Windows starts and to immediately close down after the cleaning is finished.
There are additional cleaners that lets you clean the contents of Windows clipboard and remove broken shortcuts. However, I found that the free invalid shortcut remover I have posted before, Orphans Remover, is a lot better in cleaning up the broken shortcuts.
