Windows 7 Media Player Theme for foobar2000

foobar2000 is no doubt one of the well-known free audio players that works with Windows, especially due to its low memory consumption. While some still can’t leave Winamp, some others decide to replace it with foobar2000. However, every single thing has always at least one downside and it is the basic interface design for foobar2000.

For anyone that uses foobar2000 v1.3 or later, and interested to change its default theme, there is a nice foobar2000 theme that resembles Windows Media Player 12 user interface. This WMP 12 skin for foobar2000, named as foow7mp, has been created by a member of deviantart, eddiezato.

How to install foobar200 theme:

  • After downloading the Windows Media Player theme, extract the contents in the installation folder of foobar2000.
  • Launch foobar2000, and select Column UI as the default theme.

    • foobar2000

  • Go to foobar2000 preferences by clicking File > Preferences. Then, click Display > Column UI. Import the foow7mp.fcl which you can find under the Skin folder in the foobar2000 installation folder.

    • foobar2000

  • Just click OK to apply the new theme.
