Windows Vista Start Menu For Windows XP – Free

Brings the functionalities of Windows Vista start menu to Windows XP by replacing the standard start menu with ViStart. Find any files or programs of yours faster than before. Change the appearance of the start menu in Windows XP to look like Vista start menu. Since it supports third party skins, you can change the start menu skin as many as you want. The skin collection itself can be found and downloaded from deviantart.

What this Vista like start menu offers…

Aside from the Vista skin, Vistart indexes your program shortcuts and files. This makes the programs and files can be opened faster. Instead of manually browsing to the program shortcut location manually, you can just type part of the name inside the search box within the start menu and a list of names (programs and files) that matches will be displayed. Vistart even claims that it can find the files and programs up to 4 times faster than Vista start menu.

All in all, Vistart is the freeware you should try if you want to have a better start menu than the standard start menu of Windows XP.
